FANTASY MOVIE POSTERS
This series reflects the work I did on real movie posters in the 80's, but this time for films that will never be made, products of my over-fertile imagination. They strive to combine unlikely elements, robots in castles, dinosaurs and white weddings, to tell an instant story, in the same fashion as Star Wars or James Bond movie posters. I use familiar elements and images, from all eras of the cinema.
THE CREEPER SERIES
This series skirts political and social themes, but with no overt message or agenda, other than to be aware of one's choices.
The guy's face echos Big Brother (it's that of Rondo Hatton, a 40's B-movie star), and the campfire a kind of elemental alternative.

CARGO CULT
During the Second World War, remote Pacific islands, having little or no previous contact with outsiders, saw planes overhead, and mysterious items washed up on the beach. They started to worship them as gifts from the gods, who they believed rode in the air-boats.
This phenomena became known as 'cargo cult', for self-evident reasons.

YOSEMITY NUNS.....Just plain old low-brow surrealism here folks, no message, just a homage to Warner Bros and Clovis Trouille.
